Leaf bashing

At home activities: Leaf bashing –

Equipment needed-

• Mallet, pebble or rolling pin
• A variety of fresh leaves and petals
• Cotton cloth like an old pillowcase or some thick paper
• A flat surface, chopping board

Step by step-

1. Find a firm surface to work on
2. Either use 2 pieces of fabric or one folded in half
3. Take your flowers and leaves and create a pattern onto the fabric
4. Fold the fabric over the flowers, or place your second piece on top
5. Begin to hammer the fabric
6. Check that you haven’t missed anything
7. Finally peel off any excess bits
8. Hang up to enjoy
