Wormery

At home activities: – Wormery

Equipment needed-

• A clear container, such as a large clear bottle with the top cut off
• Soil
• Sand
• Spade
• Worms
• A handful of dead leaves

Step by step-

1. Pour a layer of sand into your bottle/container
2. Pour a thick layer of soil
3. Repeat this process until its about ¾ full
4. Put a handful of dead leaves on the top of the container
5. Go and find some worms, look in the soil and muddy patches around you
6. Add your worms!
7. Keep your wormery in a cool, dark place
8. Last of all remember to release your worms back
