At home activities: – Mud nests
Equipment needed-
- Natural resources, mud, leaves, sticks, moss
- A bowl or jug (something with a round base)
Step by step-
- Discuss which animals create nests, where you might find a nest and why nests are needed. Eg. Birds, squirrels or dragons! Ground level or tree? Is the nest for laying eggs or for protection?
- Use your bowl or jug to help shape your mud into a nest shape
Add the natural resources into the mud shape and watch your nest take shape
